Walking back from an early-morning snorkeling session, I saw a tiny wave (if you could call it that) breaking on shore. I noticed other similar waves. They had nice shape and form. With my snorkel mask in hand and my dome port on my housing, I decided to take a look underneath the shallow waters’ edge. There was a small shelf and then it dropped down a few feet – perfect conditions to watch these micro waves take shape and create miniature cylinders. I spent the next 45 minutes shooting. Later that day when I reviewed the images, I was amazed by the rad texture of the water and sand and how the low sunlight cast some cool shadows. For the next three mornings, I returned around sunrise to shoot. These seven images are my favorites.
